Building a Secure Digital Workplace Through Cybersecurity Awareness
Abstract
Digital technologies have revolutionized today's working environment. Staff members use cloud-based platforms to collaborate, use their personal devices to access company resources, and rely on various digital communication tools. This shift has increased flexibility and improved process efficiency; however, it has also created significant challenges for organizational security. It is no longer possible to achieve an adequate level of security by implementing technical measures only at the network perimeter. In fact, each employee, no matter their position, is not only a potential vulnerability for the company but also part of its security line. Thus, the key to creating a secure digital workspace is developing cybersecurity awareness among company employees. This article discusses why awareness has become such an important aspect of workplace security, the human factors that can become organizational vulnerabilities, and approaches to promoting a security-awareness culture.
